Firmware Versions
The RFID Sensor has a powerful feature allowing the user to upgrade a new firmware to it.
The firmware is an encoded and encrypted textfile, called RF_Firm_x.y.txt, where x.y stands for the version number of the firmware.
The textfile is encrypted with a protected key and the serial number of the RFID sensor.
You can buy any available firmware verions in our webhsop. There you have to type in the serial number of your RFID sensor for generating your individual firmware text file.
Once you have downloaded this textfile, you have to store it in the NXT and use a special firmware upgrade block for the NXT-G. You can download this block here:
Simply generate a small NXT-G program using only the Firmware Upgrade Block and start this program. The NXT will transfer the new firmware to the RFID sensor and upgrade the firmware.
