| Which transponders does the RFID Sensor read? |
The RFID Sensor reads transponders at 125 kHz of type EM4102. |
| Can I use other transponders? |
You can, if they are type EM4102! Other transponders might however have a weaker reading distance, depending on size, antenna and used IC! |
| Can I write data to the transponder? |
The transponders you get from us are capable of writing data to it, but the RFID sensor firmware is not yet able to do so! You will be able to buy a lowcost firmware upgrade for writing data to the transponder later on our webshop! |
| Can I use several RFID sensors on one NXT? |
Yes, you can connect more than one to the NXT's inputs! However there might be interference, if they are too close to each other! |
| What is the reading distance of the transponders? |
The keyfob can be read at a distance up to 30mm from the frontcap! Be aware that the orientation is critical for the reading distance (look at the schematic in the NXT-G block help file) |
